I can see what you're trying to do here. If you found a slightly more endearing angle where the leaves really look like they are reaching into the blue space, I think it would have had more impact. I'd like to see the little bush in the corner removed or cropped. Its doing nothing for the picture and is distracting to me. The house does have nice lines and the shadow gradient is nice too but its WAY to dark to notice the good things. Even a spot light on the side of the house (or flash or tin foil reflecting the sun...) would have really made it pop. Lighten it add a bit of contrast and it would be much much better <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/> Good start tho! Nice eye for catching the good balance.
